Dr. Wilson was born and raised in Tallahassee. After undergraduate studies at Florida State University, he obtained his medical degree from the University of Florida and then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. Dr. Wilson was in private practice as an internist for 3 years in Clearwater, FL before deciding to pursue a career in the specialty of Allergy & Immunology. In 2006, he completed Fellowship training in Allergy & Immunology at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, LA and moved back to Tallahassee to start Tallahassee Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
Dr. Cruz was born and raised in the Philippines. After graduating from medical school at the University of the Philippines, he went on to finish his pediatric residency training at the University of Florida-Health Sciences Center/Jacksonville (now Shands Jacksonville) in 1998. Before pursuing further training in Allergy and Immunology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center- Shreveport, Dr. Cruz worked as a pediatrician in Bainbridge, Georgia from 1999 to 2005 with his wife, Dr. Alicia V. Estillore. He came back to Bainbridge in 2007 after completing his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at LSU-Shreveport. Dr. Cruz joined Tallahassee Allergy, Asthma & Immunology in January 2012 and is excited to be part of the medical community in Tallahassee.
Dr. Wilson and Dr. Cruz are both board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. Board certified specialists in allergy and immunology complete at least nine years of medical training and evaluate and manage patients with allergic disorders such as asthma, allergic rhinitis/hay fever, eczema, food and drug allergies, sinusitis, hives and swelling, anaphylaxis, insect sting reactions and primary immunodeficiency.
